Top Indian Clubs After Roy

Fiji’s star striker Roy Krishna is likely to return to the Indian Super League (ISL) for the new season.

The Vodafone Fijian football skipper confirmed yesterday that officials of two Indian franchise clubs are now negotiatin­g with his agent. Krishna confirmed that the clubs are Mumbai City FC, which is owned by Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, and East Bengal FC.

“They have approached Krishna added.

His last club ATK have also expressed their interest to retain him but Krishna is yet to make a decision me,” on his profession­al career for the 2020/21 season.

“We are currently in negotiatio­n and are working out the finer details. Once we’ve come to an agreement we’ll make an announceme­nt.”

Krishna said they are having a thorough discussion with his agent about his future and that could determine a suitable deal.

The Siberia, Labasa native was the joint top-scorer in last season’s ISL with 15 goals where he captained ATK to clinch their third ISL title. Krishna also confirmed there has been no further discussion­s with his former club, Wellington Phoenix.
