Face­book com­mits more sup­port to black com­mu­ni­ties

San Fran­cisco: Face­book is com­mit­ting an ad­di­tional US$200 mil­lion to sup­port black-owned busi­nesses and or­gan­i­sa­tions, its Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer (COO) Sh­eryl Sand­berg an­nounced.

The move, as part of a broader US$1.1 bil­lion in­vest­ment in black and di­verse sup­pli­ers and com­mu­ni­ties, in­cludes US$25 mil­lion in sup­port of black con­tent cre­ators and US$75 mil­lion in grants of cash and ad cred­its, to sup­port black­owned busi­nesses and non-profit or­gan­i­sa­tion that serve the black com­mu­nity.
