Fiji Airports Chief Executive and Fiji Pine Group Chairman Faiz Khan is recovering at the Lautoka Hospital.

According to a senior executive at the Fiji Pine Group Mr Khan had suffered from an illness and had been admitted at a paying ward late last week.

Two senior executives from Pine Group and Pine Trust Companies have requested for a visitation to Mr Khan but were advised from a close family member that visitation was not permitted.

The two executive members also received confirmation that Mr Khan was recovering well at his hospital bed.

It seems like once again sexual offence cases have taken a spike in the list of cases being called before the Courts.

Yesterday, more than 15 appeal cases were listed before the Fiji

Court of Appeal which were of sexual offences ranging from rape, sexual assault and indecent assaults.

How are we as a community/society trying to stop these offences that leave trauma and psychological effects on victims and their families? Something to think about!

It’s about time that we look after our pets, because they have convened a meeting to discuss an animal sanctuary for themselves. Maybe?

BTL readers now know that school is just around the corner and parents know and understand that some of their children might need new pairs of uniforms and shoes. This is because their children have just been eating away the last couple of months apart from staying on course for their students.

Because the tuck shop was always open at their homes
