Cooks Opposition leader takes pay-cut

Avarua: Cook Islands deputy opposition leader Terepai Maoate has urged all MPs to accept a pay-cut. Mr Maoate made the recommendation in Parliament on Tuesday.

The MP has voluntarily had his salary reduced and redirected into his Ureia electorate on Aitutaki to help with agricultural projects he has initiated.
