SITUATION

A trough of low pressure lies just to the northeast of Fiji. Associated cloud and showers affects the eastern parts of the group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji Group:

Cloudy periods with some showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the eastern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the eastern and interior of Viti Levu and Lau and Lomaiviti group. Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon and evening showers. Cool at night.

Moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for tomorrow: Some showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern and interior of the larger islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group. Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Cloudy periods with some showers. Cool at night.

Outlook for tomorrow: Cloudy periods with some showers.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:

Fine apart from isolated afternoon and evening showers. Cool at night. Outlook for tomorrow: Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.
