It’s our time to win, says Salah

-

London: Mohamed Salah believes now is the right time for Liverpool to end their 30-year wait for a top-flight English title.

Salah scored as the Reds beat Crystal Palace 4-0 yesterday- a result that leaves them two points away from winning the Premier League. They could seal their victory today if Manchester City - the side that pipped them to last season’s title - fail to win at Chelsea.

“Two points to go to win the league, it’s great,” Salah told Sky Sports.

“Since I came here I said I want to win the Premier League. The city did not win it for a long time.

“Last year we had a chance but Manchester City also played really well and deserved it. It’s our time to win the league.”

Liverpool’s last top-flight league title, their 18th, came in 1989-90, when Sir Kenny Dalglish led them to victory. Results: Man United 3-0 Sheff Wednesday, Newcastle 1-1 Aston Villa, Norwich 0-1 Everton, Wolves 1-0 Bournemouth.
