As Fiji enters Phase 2 of its COVID-Safe Economic Recovery, the FIJI Water Foundation is pleased to partner with key frontline stakeholders such as the Fiji Police Force, National Fire Authority and Land Transport Authority.

This follows the donation this week of much needed care packs to all three organisations, to help their personnel on the ground in implementing the Fiji Governments COVID-19 safe plans.

Care packs

Each care pack includes hand sanitisers, a set of face masks made locally by Sabeto based women’s non-profit ‘Rise Beyond the Reef’, and seeds for backyard gardening as well as the highly popular 700ml FIJI Water sports cap bottles.

In receiving the care packs, Police Commissioner Brigadier Sitiveni Qiliho thanked the FIJI Water Foundation for their ongoing community outreach.

“These care packs will help lighten the load of all our police officers around the country, as we continue to do our best in helping steer Fiji forward to full economic recovery, one day at a time,” says Brigadier Qiliho.

Police received a total of 4,443 care packs while the National Fire Authority received 651 care packs, and 438 care packs to the Land Transport Authority, with a combined value of just under $130,000.

FIJI Water Foundation manager Marie Smith says they are always glad to help equip key frontline personnel with the necessary tools to always perform at their optimum best.

“These care packs will ensure that all our police personnel, firefighters and LTA officials maintain the highest standards of health and operational readiness, especially during these trying times,” she said.
