Naviti Resort reopens
The Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast will open tomorrow, as it welcomes the Love Our Locals campaign by Tourism Fiji. The resort has slashed prices on accommodation to allow locals the chance to experience one of Fiji’s favourite tourist destinations.

The resort’s director sales and marketing, Angela Hassan, said the reopening meant some of their staff would be back at work.
“We closed in March after tourists stopped coming following the coronavirus pandemic, and we are extremely happy to offer the locals our unmatched service and facilities.” Ms Hassan said since the relaxation of some of the COVID-19 restrictions, guests would now be able to use the swimming pool and the gymnasium.
“We have decided to open 60 rooms which includes the Ocean View,
Garden View and 12 villas which are for adults or couples only.
Bamboo Terrace Chinese Restaurant
The Bamboo Terrace Chinese Restaurant, said to be the only restaurant of its type on the Coral Coast, will be reopened too, Ms Hassan said.
“People can drive in for lunch and dinner every Saturday during opening hours.”
The restaurant’s popularity with tourists, both from within the resort and other tourism properties and the locals, was one reason for the reopening of its doors.
It will now open for lunch and dinner, which is from 12.30pm to 9.30pm every Saturday.
The restaurant overlooks the golf course at the resort and offers a delightful a la carte dinner featuring mouth-watering Cantonese and Mandarin cuisine.
Ms Hassan said the restaurant showcases a tantalising menu featuring an appetising variety of Asian-inspired dishes while the interior Chinese décor is coupled with oriental music to set the mood for memorable dining.
