Who will be the next PAFCO CEO?
Remember the former Sun Insurance chief executive officer Lolesh Sharma? Well he looks like he is doing well for himself in New Zealand.
Mr Sharma is the managing director of Debonair Fitness NZ Limited,
Mairangi Bay, Auckland, NZ.
The fitness centre which has been operation for more than a year now opened in October 2018.
He also owns Debonair Investments Ltd.
According to Mr Sharma’s Linkedin profile, it states his an experienced insurance executive with a reputation of creativity to address market demands.

Background:
He was the Sun Insurance Company Limited CEO from April 2011 to June 2018.
According to a Fiji Sun report last year. he was charged by Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) with one count of attempt to undue influence.
It’s alleged that in October 2017, Mr Sharma attempted to hinder or interfere with the free exercise or performance of the political right of the employees of Sun Insurance Limited relevant to the 2018 General Election. But the charge against Mr Sharma waswithdrawn by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC). Mr Sharma has now put all that behind him with success in NZ.
The Pacific Fishing Company Limited (PAFCO) looking for an experienced and dynamic chief executive officer (CEO).
Yes that’s right! The CEO post has been advertised with an attractive remuneration package, applications close Wednesday, July 22.
It is not clear yet whether the current PAFCO CEO Bhan Singh has reapplied for the post.
Mr Singh has served as the PAFCO chief executive for the past nine years.The recruiting agency PricewaterhouseCoopers Fiji (PWC) in the advert stated: “PAFCO is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic individual with strong operational and commercial capabilities for the role of the CEO.
“The position will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the company within the guidelines and policies set by the Board.
“The CEO will report to the Board and will provide leadership to the management team responsible for the day to day operations of the company.
“Although the position is based in Suva, the CEO will be required to travel to Levuka on a regular basis.”
