Konrote: Cricket turnout pleasing

Four teams remain undefeated after round two of the Suva Cricket Associatio­n T10 Bula Bash.

The teams are Moce, Army, Police and Lakeba.

Cricket Fiji chief executive officer Alex Konrote was yesterday happy with the performanc­e and turnout. “Next week the top teams from each pool will go head to head,” Konrote said.

“It’s hard to tell at this point who is going to win.

“It was good to see families and friends coming out to watch and teams here on time.”

Oneata was the only team that failed to turn up.

RESULTS

Pool 1: Moce won by default over Oneata, BSP scored 57 runs to beat Nasaqalau all out for 44, Army beat Sarafui, Nasaqalau WBD Oneata, Moce beat BSP.

Pool 2: Police Two amassed 139 to beat Developmen­t all out for 28, Lakeba (5 runs in 6 overs) beat Ono-i-Lau (52 runs in 10 overs), Komo (58 runs in 10 overs beat Police (all out for 57 runs), Komo (4 wickets of 80 runs) lost to Lakeba (83 runs over 6 overs).
