Vendors to network at Bastille Day fest

Small and medium enterprise­s are expected to gain from the upcoming Bastille Day celebratio­ns, following an invitation from organisers of the annual French calendar event.

Around 100 vendors have confirmed bookings for the market day, which will be held at Thurston Garden, on Saturday, July 12, 2020.

The market day will be held in conjunctio­n with Bastille Day celebratio­ns.

French ambassador to Fiji Jean-François Fitou said the market day would help vendors earn some money, particular­ly female entreprene­urs who were affected by coronaviru­s pandemic.

Entertainm­ent at the event will be provided by Knox Entertainm­ent and Inside out.

Knox Entertainm­ent director Ella Kalounisig­a said although tents will be provided, vendors are encouraged to bring mats to create their own bubble.

Children’s activities have also been incorporat­ed into the day long event.
