Sri Lanka allows 300 guests for weddings as virus cases eases

Colombo: Sri Lankan authoritie­s has said that 300 guests would be allowed to attend weddings amidst strict health guidelines as COVID-19 spread eased in the island country. A statement from the government said that the maximum number of guests at a wedding should be limited to 50 per cent of the seating capacity of the venue and a maximum of 300 persons. This includes the bridal group, band members, and any performing artists.

Space allocation at the wedding venue must ensure physical distancing of at least one metre between all participan­ts.
