Bank’s voluntary blood drive a success
The staff of HFC Bank participated in a voluntary donation of blood earlier this month. They contributed a substantial amount towards the drive. HFC Bank chief executive officer Rakesh Ram said: “Blood donation is a vital part of worldwide healthcare especially during this current pandemic and other sicknesses occurring.
It relates to blood transfusion as a life-sustaining and life-saving procedure as well as a form of therapeutic phlebotomy as medical intervention.”
This year, World Blood Donor Day was celebrated around the world last month on June 14.
HFC Bank continues to identify communities in dire need of assistance and helps in the best way possible. The blood drive was an additional boost and helped kick start the bank’s new financial year through our Corporate Social Responsibility.
The event served to
aprimary thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood. This also helped to raise awareness for regular blood donations to ensure that all individuals and communities have access to affordable and timely supplies of safe and qualityassured blood.
Blood donations are an important resource, both for planned treatments and urgent interventions.
