RFMF soldiers return home

- ILAIJIA RAVUWAI

1 62 soldiers returned home yesterday after completing the mandatory 14 day-quarantine period. These were the Fijian soldiers who recently returned from Sinai.

Director Peace Support Operations (DPSO) Colonel Pacolo Luveni said all tests for COVID-19 that were conducted on the soldiers came back negative.

The Ministry of Health cleared all the soldiers.

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces held a welcome ceremony for its officers at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi.

The soldiers served under the Multinational Force Observers (MFO). Their 12-month tour of duty was extended by another four months because of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
