Ja­panese menu, veg­e­tar­ian burg­ers, Fri­day BBQ’s soon

Glo­ria Jean’s new­est out­let in Suva will soon in­clude Ja­panese dishes and veg­e­tar­ian burg­ers on its menu. The Thurston Street café is the first of Ariel de Asa’s seven fran­chise out­lets to of­fer guests a full break­fast and lunch menu.

The five top sell­ing items at Glo­ria Jean’s café are the Big Break­fast, burg­ers, chicken pies, piz­zas and sand­wiches. Most prices of food range from $5.95 to $12.95, Mr de Asa said.

“Most of our meals are around $9.95,” he said.

“We of­fer more break­fast op­tions such pan­cakes, omelets along with usual muffins and va­ri­ety of bread - choc bread, co­conut bread, Span­ish bread, Dan­ish, crois­sants and donuts, to name a few.”

The lunch menu in­cludes Amer­i­can favourites - fish fin­gers, chicken burg­ers, and hot­dogs.

The Ital­ian menu com­prises spaghetti and meat­balls, and chicken car­bonara, Mr de Asa said.

The pro­posed Ja­panese menu will in­clude sushi and chicken katsu curry, he said.

“Weather per­mit­ting, we will be able to kick off our BBQ lunches on Fri­days.”

Glo­ria Jean’s Thurston Street café hopes to launch it bar­be­cue lunch menu to­day.

A va­ri­ety of cakes and other desserts are also avail­able to com­ple­ment that per­fect cup of cof­fee or pip­ing pot of tea. Glo­ria Jean’s Thurston Street cafe opens Mon­days to Fri­days, from 7am to 7pm.
