Minister Koya Receives Ambassador Yauvoli

Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport Faiyaz Koya and Fijian Ambassador to the United States (U.S) Amena Yauvoli during a meeting on July 17, 2020.

The Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport Faiyaz Koya had productive discussions with the Fijian Ambassador to the United States Amena Yauvoli.

During the meeting, Minister Koya apprised the Ambassador of progress made on bilateral cooperation with the U.S. and outlined several potential areas to explore and harness in terms of trade and investment, for the North American market.

A number of areas of coordination and collaboration between the Fijian Embassy and Trade Commission were also identified to maximise gains out of Fiji’s presence in the U.S.

Special emphasis was placed on the “Fijian COVID Safe Economic Recovery Framework” to promote economic activity, whilst COVID-proofing the lives of all Fijians.
