Cafe Victoria, Classy Hotspot
Cafe Victoria is open for business, with access available from Joske Street.
Owner Sean Chow said entry to the restaurant temporrily changed to allow the landlord - Fiji National Provident Fund - to renovate the building facade.
Meals are as reasonable as $10 for a plate of 18pieces of fish fingers, packed with Fries.
“We hope to keep running as normal and adjust our menu as needed,” Mr Chow said.
“Pricing and creativity is key in these times.”
Other ventures
Cafe Victoria is one of many feathers in Mr Chow’s business hat.
Onyx Nightclub and Fresh’et International Fiji Group are among others.
“The retail sector and Government orders have gone a long way to sustain business operations following the coronavirus pandemic,” Mr Chow said.
That’s not to say the business did not suffer a decline in sales.
“It is still not quite where we hoped it would be, but for now it’s about running smart and keeping costs down,” Mr Chow said.
“During the worst part of the pandemic, we were amongst the very few companies to be able to access fresh fruit and vegetables.
“Being a storage and packing house, we were able to store enough supply to sustain the worst part of the lock down. “We also provided door to door delivery to allow our customers access to fruit and vegetables.”
Mr Chow said: “We were very happy to be able to serve our people at such a crucial time.”
Core business
Fresh’et International Limited has its initiations dating back to 1993.
Now a leading distributor of frozen and refrigerated exotic seafood in Fiji, the company imports and distributes the highest quality frozen goods.
“We opened up our wholesale warehouse to the public to be able to access meat and vegetables direct from the factory,” Mr Chow said.
“The idea is to save time, money and the effort of trying to beat shopping cues,” Mr Chow said.
“We are trying our best to accommodate the few orders we receive from our resort clients.”
