LET’S GO LOCAL
Surf, dive at Waidroka Bay Resort for $95
Waidroka Bay Resort has reopened its accommodation units, following the launch of its day-visit packages. The beachfront resort on the coast of Serua, reopened for business, after it closed months earlier on the back of the coronavirus pandemic.
On July 17, 2020, the resort relaunched its accommodation facilities for locals, in a deal available only at weekends.
Dense forests and a steep drive mark the route to the beachfront.
Getting from the main road to the resort is like travelling through a time warp, as you’re surrounded by the pristine, and secluded natural state of your surroundings, before you are suddenly greeted by the sea.
Nestled between Korovisilou Village and
Talenaua Village, the resort is a four kilometre drive on an unsealed road off the Queens Highway. Locals can now enjoy a 50 per cent discount on all accommodation and food prices.
The accommodation rates are as low as $96 per person, with breakfast/lunch/dinner meal deal available at $65 a day.
The topping on the cake is the happy hour prices at the bar all day. For those who wish to enjoy the excursions and facilities without a stay over, the resort offers a ‘Super Fun Day’ package at $95.
Owned by Boris Kaz, the dive and surf resort is managed by general managers Lorna and Andi Johnstone.
Waidroka Bay Resort comprises seven bures, and five rooms in total. It is 30 minutes from the adventure capital of Fiji, Pacific Harbour.
