TEACHERS BEHAVIOUR

Two horror stories about teachers since schools reopened: One teacher sought and received transfer to another school and made no efforts to inform the Head of her previous school about the transfer.

Only after schools reopened and questions asked did someone let it out that Madam had transferred to another school. In another case, a teacher went on maternity leave. Good on her.

Except, no one in the school knew she was expecting a child and given her slim physique, other teachers were none the wiser.

What is seriously uncalled for is that no one knew the teacher had left to start her maternity leave.

This left her students and the Head of school in a lurch. Such behaviour is completely uncalled for.

There’s a common misconception that the head of Fiji’s Consumer Regulatory office is a foreigner.

Perhaps it has something to do with his name.

But to those who don’t know, this individual grew up right here in Suva in one of the toughest suburbs there is. You can’t get more local than that!
