BEEKEEPING WORKSHOP
FIFTEEN BEEKEEPER INSTRUCTORS PARTICIPATED IN A TWO-DAY NATIONAL BEEKEEPERS WORKSHOP AT THE LABASA COLLEGE. Fiji Beekeepers Associations President John Caldeira said this workshop would improve the quality of beekeeper instructors.
Mr Calderia said there were many top beekeepers in the country and the workshop provided an opportunity for them to learn from each other. Instructors, who attended the workshop, were also given an insight on quality control measures.
Mr Caldeira said this would enable them to produce and maintain the quality of honey when they set up their own farm.
“These two-day beekeepers worskhop will involve handson skills training in the construction of beehive boxes.” The workshop ended on Friday.
