Getting every point possible out of every match is what Rewa football coach Marika Rodu wants.

The Delta Tigers today host Lautoka at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori, in the feature clash of the Vodafone Premier League.

“We don’t want to be losing points as the competition is getting tough,” Rodu said.

“We’ve seen that Navua is getting better and Nasinu recently upset Ba. So for us every point counts.”

Rewa are currently leading the

VPL points table by 13 points followed by Lautoka with 10.

The Blues are no pushover as they fought from a 1-0 deficit to beat Navua 2-1 last Sunday.

Lautoka coach Ravinesh Narayan said they are looking forward to today’s encounter as they are also putting together their combination for next month’s Punjas Battle of the

Giants tournament.

Meanwhile, Navua need to beat the Tagi Vonolagi-coached side Nasinu if they are to escape the promotion relegation.

Nasinu are currently on a high after they beat Ba 2-0 last weekend and need another three points to improve on their standing.

Navua are going to bank on lanky striker Apisai Smith to do them wonders in this crucial match. Navua are at the bottom of the points table with one point while Nasinu have seven.
