More block­buster movies de­layed due to the COVID-19 pan­demic

Los An­ge­les: With movie the­atres closed across the United States for the in­def­i­nite fu­ture, a trio of high­pro­file se­quels have been pushed to later re­lease dates.

Para­mount Pic­tures has pushed A Quiet Place II and Top Gun: Mav­er­ick from their 2020 dates into 2021, due to COVID-19, ac­cord­ing to Va­ri­ety. Sony Pic­tures has also pushed their highly-an­tic­i­pated se­quel to last year’s Spi­der-Man: Far From Home fur­ther into 2021.

A Quiet Place II was orig­i­nally slated to hit the­atres on March 20, be­fore it was pushed to Septem­ber 4, though it will now be re­leased on April 23, 2021.

Sony Pic­tures has also pushed their highly-an­tic­i­pated se­quel to Spi­der-Man: Far From Home fur­ther into 2021.
