in 57 minutes and 12 in three minutes and didn’t capitalise on the shortfall returning home with two penalties in the 6-19 loss.

The battle of the newly promoted at Churchill Park between Tailevu and Lautoka should be exciting. The Maroons put up gallant fight throughout before going down 11-29 to a fired up Naitasiri.

Naitasiri v Nadi

This should be the feature match of round two. Naitasiri fans are in for another treat after Sireli Kaloucava-captained side was the only side which scored a bonus win in round one.

As usual the forwards laid the platform with strong defence and first five-eighth Tuidraki Samusamuvodre controlling and varying play with precision and ease.

Nadi stood the test before beating Yasawa but they need to lift their game as the Highlanders would be hard to crack at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori on Saturday.

The Highlanders could play in a double-header next week provided Namosi beat Nadroga this Saturday.

Suva v Yasawa

It’s time for Suva to let bygones be bygones and start again against Yasawa at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Saturday. Suva put a gallant effort only to lose by a whisker in a winner take all at Lawaqa.

And while we look forward to another exciting weekend of rugby, let’s hope round two on Saturday will be RED FREE.

Five reds cards (3 Namosi, 1 Tailevu, 1 Yasawa) in the round is simply out of order.

Players need to play by the rules, keep it clean for all to enjoy.
