Auditor-General appoints 3 new assistants
The Auditor-General has re-appointed the Deputy Auditor-General and made three new appointments of Assistant Auditors-General.
The appointment of the three Assistant Auditors-General and re-appointment of the Deputy Auditor- General is for a tenure of five years.
Appointments:
The Deputy Auditor-General, Sairusi Dukuno, was re-appointed to the role on May 8, 2020. The Assistant Auditors-General also commenced in their new roles from May 2020.
Moshin Ali and Finau Nagera have been appointed as Assistant AuditorsGeneral – Financial Audit Services. Kuruwara Tunisalevu is the Assistant Auditor-General responsible for the performance, environment and IT audits together with special audit/investigation programme.
Brief biography:
Mr Dukuno has more than 26 years’ experience in public sector auditing with the Office of the Auditor General. He started his career with the office in 1994 and progressed through the ranks until his appointment as the Deputy Auditor-General on 08, May 2017. He was re-appointed in May 2020.
Mr Ali first joined the Office of the Auditor-General in 2006 as a contract auditor and moved up the ranks where he held the position of Director of Audit before taking up this new role.
Ms Nagera has more than 18 years’ experience in public sector auditing with the Office of the Auditor General.
Her work experience with the Office of the Auditor General has also enabled her to contribute to the development of public sector auditing in the Pacific region through her involvement in both the work of the Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) and International Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). Mr Tunisalevu joined the Office of the Auditor General in January 2000 as an Auditor and moved up the ranks until his appointment as a Director of Audit in 2013.
The Office of the Auditor-General also launched its 2021-2025 Strategic Plan yesterday by Auditor-General Ajay Nand during the opening of a new branch in Nadi.
