WATER CUTS FOR PARTS OF SUVA TONIGHT

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has announced water cuts for parts of the Suva area. Elevated parts of Samabula and Laucala Bay as well as surroundin­g areas in Suva will experience experience an intermitte­nt supply of water from 10pm tonight to 8am tomorrow.

The temporary interrupti­on in water supply is to allow WAF ground teams to carry out urgent repairs to a burst watermain along Ratu Mara Road to prevent further major water disruption­s.

The authority advises customers residing in the areas above to use water wisely and to store water for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period. Water carting trucks are on standby to service the affected areas during the temporary disruption period.

WAF urges customers to conserve and always store sufficient amounts of water to last them for at least two to three days in their homes at all

WAF also encourages customers to invest in storage containers or water tanks connected to the water system for storage and backup supply during any unplanned disruption that may arise due to emergency works or natural disasters.
