Beach, Beats, Eats Again At Shangri-La

- CHARLES CHAMBERS LAUTOKA

Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa’s Beach, Beats and Eats weekend promotion has gained popularity since its inaugural launch last month.

A second such weekend has been planned for August 21-23, but this time with a difference.

Room prices have reduced further,

this time to reflect the new tax incentives for the tourism industry as announced in the 2020-2021 National Budget.

■ From $229 VIP a room for two adults and two children under 12 years, rates have dropped to $219. Director of sales and marketing, Marsha Eyre, said since the first Beach, Beats and Eats weekend, the hotel was inundated with enquiries about the next weekend festivities.

“We already have 35 rooms booked for the second running of this promotion,” Ms Eyre said.

“There was a lot of interest generated.”

Latin food fiesta

■ The weekend includes a touch of a Latin food fiesta, amongst other food, music, market and a host of activities for both adults and children.

■ The night will also host house band Inside Out and local singer Sassy.

■ Children’s dance classes will be conducted by the VOU group, while guests can shop at the Projects Collective market.

■ Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa boasts Fiji’s largest inflatable waterpark.

■ Complimentary Wi-Fi is also on offer.
