Beach, Beats, Eats Again At Shangri-La

Shangri-La’s Fi­jian Re­sort and Spa’s Beach, Beats and Eats weekend pro­mo­tion has gained pop­u­lar­ity since its in­au­gu­ral launch last month.

A sec­ond such weekend has been planned for August 21-23, but this time with a dif­fer­ence.

Room prices have re­duced fur­ther,

this time to re­flect the new tax in­cen­tives for the tourism in­dus­try as an­nounced in the 2020-2021 Na­tional Bud­get.

■ From $229 VIP a room for two adults and two chil­dren under 12 years, rates have dropped to $219. Di­rec­tor of sales and mar­ket­ing, Mar­sha Eyre, said since the first Beach, Beats and Eats weekend, the ho­tel was in­un­dated with en­quiries about the next weekend fes­tiv­i­ties.

“We al­ready have 35 rooms booked for the sec­ond run­ning of this pro­mo­tion,” Ms Eyre said.

“There was a lot of in­ter­est gen­er­ated.”

Latin food fi­esta

■ The weekend in­cludes a touch of a Latin food fi­esta, amongst other food, mu­sic, mar­ket and a host of ac­tiv­i­ties for both adults and chil­dren.

■ The night will also host house band In­side Out and lo­cal singer Sassy.

■ Chil­dren’s dance classes will be con­ducted by the VOU group, while guests can shop at the Projects Col­lec­tive mar­ket.

■ Shangri-La’s Fi­jian Re­sort and Spa boasts Fiji’s largest in­flat­able wa­ter­park.

■ Com­pli­men­tary Wi-Fi is also on of­fer.
