FIJI AIRPORTS CONTINUES RESTRICTIONS ON LABASA FLIGHTS

Fiji Airports will continue the restriction to light aircraft category operations its Lab as a Airport for another week until Friday, August 21.

A statement from Fiji Airports stated: “Additional restricted operating hours will be stipulated given ongoing issues with the runway pavement. A further complete shutdown of the runway is likely to be scheduled as we explore best options for remedial works. Fiji Airports has been consulting with our airline stakeholders; Fiji Link and Northern Air on the status of operations.-We would like to emphasis et hat the safety of the travelling public is and remains our top priority. Medium category aircraft( AT R 42 and A TR 72) remain restricted over this period.
