UNEMPLOYME­NT RELIEF PAYMENT CONTINUES

A total of 3,284 members will be paid $3.61 million over five fortnights, for the second round of phase two of the COVID-19 withdrawal­s.

These members were paid $722,480 in the first payment cycle Tuesday (September 1) with $531,973.60 subsidised by Government.

Members who received their funds through their bank accounts, totaled 3,276 while eight members opted for M-PAiSA.

The next payment will be disbursed on September 15 and members who haven’t applied, must submit their applicatio­n by Friday September 11 to be part of the second payment cycle. Members who missed out on the first payment cycle for Phase 2 Round 2, will receive two payments on September 15.

Mobile app now available

The updated version of the myFNPF App is now available on Google Play Store and

Apple App Store.

Chief executive officer Jaoji Koroi acknowledg­ed members’ for their patience while the Fund resolved the mobile app issue, adding that the updates were necessary to enable the submission of withdrawal­s through the myFNPF App.

“We understand that this could have hampered members’ efforts to submit their applicatio­ns but we assure them, that they will receive their funds if they comply with the requiremen­ts.” To ensure they have the latest version of the myFNPF App, members who had already downloaded the app, will need to update it by visiting Google Play Store or Apple App Store and clicking on the update button.

Others can simply download the myFNPF App and follow the instructio­ns to register or sign in before they can submit their withdrawal­s.

Phase 4 progresses

Phase 4 withdrawal opened on August 31, 2020 and members must apply on the mobile app.

Members downloadin­g the app for the first time are reminded that their email address or mobile number must be updated with the

Fund.

A minimum General Account balance of $135 is required and members must be unemployed from October 1, 2017, to 30 September 2019, to qualify for Phase 4.
