Senior citizens e-ticketing
Ronnie Chang , Nadi
In the event my figures are proven incorrect, then I duly apologise, and stand corrected.
If 30,000 senior citizens are not utilising their e-ticketing bus fares, then, as Line Minister, the fitting, proper, caring and compassionate thing to do is not “punish” the other 47,000 who use this Government facility. Not aggravate their poverty levels, needlessly.
A “balancing act” by the stroke of a pen is certainly not the responsible way forward, in my ageing view. So sad, yet so true.
These are uncertain times. Expect the worst. Hope for the best.....in our twilight years.
Express your gratitude Dharmendra Kumar , Suva
It is important for us to express our gratitude to those who have made investments in our lives.
There is an old saying that applies here: “If you see a turtle sitting on a fence post, it’s pretty safe to assume he didn’t get there by himself.”
Recognising that others have helped us get to where we are, it is only right to thank them. Express your gratitude today, both to God and to those who have helped you in your life.

I must give credit to our good Government and those at the Fiji Roads Authority for the above projects in the Labasa to Seaqaqa corridor including Taveuni. Very soon we will have completely new briges. What a relief. Vinaka (thank you) guys.
Well wishes Kirti Patel , Lautoka
To the latest victim of COVID-19, who is the front liner, we thank you for your hard work and wish you a speedy recovery.
May God bless you in this difficult time. I am sure the blessings are already on your way from all those you helped recover while at work. Keep your faith.
Parking issue Divek krishnal Goundar , Savusavu
I would like to inform the concerned authorities about the parking issue in Savusavu Town for those who want to shop at the new Suntek Supermarket and New World IGA Supermarket through Verevere Street. It’s really hard for the drivers to find a parking spot and go shopping because of the yellow lines on both sides of the road. This prohibits taxi drivers and private vehicle owners to park or stop for customers. On busy days, drivers get booked by the Police officers for wrongful parking.
The Savusavu Town Council has a parking area, but it is quite a distance from the supermarkets, and shoppers find it very inconvenient. I request the authorities to please find an alternative solution to the parking arrangement of this small town to suit the customers needs.
