Club Wyndham Denarau Island is doing everything it can to educate and look after the health of its workforce, during the tourism downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions on international travel. The resort is part of Club Wyndham South Pacific, the region’s leading timeshare club.

And is a favourite among the club’s close to 60,000 owners.

It has been closed since March as COVID-19 restrictions have prevented some crucial amenities at the property from restarting and the vast majority of club owners from travelling to stay.

Despite the closure, the resort has carried out regular training and health checks so its workforce is knowledgeable, healthy and ready for its future re-opening.

“We have also been working with a range of government bodies and local groups like the Ministry for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and Nadi Health,” resort’s General Manager, Kaydee George

“This is to educate staff on COVID-19 awareness, infectious diseases and hygiene practices, along with granting them dietary advice, mental health advice and health checks.”
