WHO IS TIMOCI NACOLA?

Born: In Bucalevu Village with ith the assistance of village midwives. ves.

His biological mother is Asela. ela. She had Mr Nacola at a very young ung age. Till today, Mr Nacola does oes not know who his biological father her is. Asela, who is now 82 years old, does not talk about it either.

He was named after the man n who raised him, Timoci Nacolatabi­sa. bisa. Mr Nacola senior married Makelesi, akelesi, Asela’s older sister. They all l hail from Bucalevu Village, Ra. At the time, Makelesi and Mr Nacola la senior did not have any children. dren. They later had two sons.

Mr Nacola considers himself lf fortunate to be raised by two o mothers.

Upbringing: Mr Nacola said d he was never treated differentl­y ly from his younger siblings. They were all loved and nurtured the same. e.

Marital status: Married with h eight children (six girls, two boys and one grandson)

Primary education: Bucalevu evu Primary School

Secondary education: Ratu u Kadavulevu School (1987 – 1991)

Tertiary education: Fiji Institute titute of Technology where he studied died Diploma in Business Studies. s. He did not return to complete his studies tudies after his attachment.

Work experience: He spent t three months at Carpenters Finance nce and later Colonial Life Mutual al Assurance (CMLA) before it was converted to Colonial (1994 - 1995).

He then joined the Public Works orks Department until it closed. At the time, he lived at the depot ot in Nayavu, Wainibuka.

The Fulton Hogan group based sed in Korovou was his next place ce of employment until he decided d to return to the village in 2014. .
