MORE SODELPA DRAMA
Barely into the third month after she was appointed SODELPA S general secretary, Emele Duituturaga is faced with accusations accusa that allegedly undermine her position in the party.
To this, Ms Duitu Duituturaga is reminding those be behind this that she has an em employment contract with the p party. It comes after an email, allegedly authore authored by Bani Dunn, questioned h her ethics and competency in the role after she took the reins fro from ousted predecessor, Adi Lit Litia Qionibaravi.
Mr Dunn, a vocal member of the party, used to sit on the panel of interview fo for the general secretary positio position.
At one stage, he wa was close to caretaker party leade leader Sitiveni Rabuka, and openly supported the Holiday Inn Suva Suv faction, in the battle of moderate mod versus conservative.
The Kshatriya Ha Hall faction were seen as the conservative.
Now it seems th that he has joined the latter.
Yesterday Ms D Duituturaga confirmed rec receiving the email.
However, she s said there were some questio questions as to whether Mr Dunn aut authored the email adding ‘the information is based on misinformation and false allegations’.
“I have referred the matter to the Party president as I do have a contract through which performance matters should be addressed,” she said.
In the email a barrage of accusations were levelled against Ms Duituturaga.
Comment from Mr Dunn was not available when this edition went to press. It is understood that he does not have a mobile phone and other efforts to contact him were unsuccessful.
Excerpts from the email read:
“Its (sic) very disappointing to see you not take a stand on the nepotism and lack of productivity now happening in the office.
“Your office is now full of volunteers that are questionable… The appointment of Peter Wise and DiVuki by the HR Committee led by Ro Filipe was supposed to have them work for both offices at Opposition and HQ.
“Note that the very accusations leveled against former GS Adi Litia you are now doing, and its best that Adi Litia is brought back. She ran a tight ship.
“You have now reduced the salary of the Deputy GS and yet he is now also doing the work of Finance and Budgeting.
“How can you allow nepotism through the appointment of committees when Ro Teimumu sits there and Ro Filipe Tuisawau is appointed to HR Committee???
You had been told to improve from the level of the last office bearers. We have now received information that you spend at least just 2 hrs in office and you keep asking advice from Adi Litia 3 to 4 times a day so its (sic) better we bring her back as GS since there are no truth in all accusations against her…”
