Fijian fans emotional after watching Sushant Singh Rajput on the screen for the last time

The last film that the late Sushant Singh Rajput acted in Dil Bechara has been getting a good response in Fiji.

Life Cinema’s Daniel Vikash confirmed this, as fans were quite emotional after watching Sushant Singh Rajput on the screen for the last time.

The film was released in theatres of New Zealand and Fiji in the past month.

It has been more than two months since the 34-year-old actor died by suicide in his Mumbai residence, leaving the film fraternity, his family members and millions of fans shocked and heartbroke­n. Mr Vikash said they had been screening the film for the past month.

“We have been getting a good number and as long as people want to watch it, we will continue to screen it,” Mr Vikash said.

“It is an emotional movie so people really like it that some have come to watch the film two to three times.”

Dil Bechara is the Hindi remake of Hollywood blockbuste­r The Fault in Our Stars and is helmed by first-time director Mukesh Chhabra. It tells an emotional tale of two lovers who find themselves torn apart by fate. The film was shot in 2018 and the release had been deferred several times. Dil Bechara had its digital premiere on Disney+Hotstar on July 24 and reportedly garnered 95 million views in 24 hours.

The film’s trailer also broke records and garnered more than 4.8 million likes in 24 hours, beating the record of Avengers: Endgame.
