Situation: A trough of low pressure lies just to the north of the group. Associated cloud and showers affects the northern and eastern parts of the country. Another trough of low pressure to the west of Fiji is expected to gradually move east and affect the rest of the country.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Today: Occasional showers, heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms. Showers easing and clearing from the western parts of the country from evening. Isolated heavy falls likely.
Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Winds gradually turning and becoming south to northwesterly. Moderate to rough seas. Outlook for tomorrow: Some showers over the eastern parts of Vanua Levu, Taveuni and the Lau group. Cloudy periods with brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands. Mainly fine weather elsewhere.
For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Some showers, becoming frequent and heavy from tonight. Isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms expected. Showers gradually easing to some showers at night.
Outlook for tomorrow: ods with brief showers.
For Sigatoka / Coral Coast :

Mostly cloudy with isolated afternoon and evening showers. Showers expected to become frequent with isolated thunderstorms from tonight.
