Damaged Fencing

Ronnie Chang, Nadi

During my early morning brisk walk, I could not help noticing again, how irresponsible some of our citizens, sportsmen, sportswomen, youths and spectators have become.

The fencing facing the Queens Rd, closest to bus shelter, continues to be badly damaged, trampled over, again and again.

This is definitely a very poor indication of how irresponsible and uncaring some of our citizens have become.

Will some generous sponsor please step forward to repair this fence?

It is a sad sight.

Fanfare

Jan Nissar, Australia

A person from the North obtained the donor list for FijiFirst party with great fanfare, in less than 24 hours I understand.

The leader of NFP created great fanfare about the financial statements of Fiji Airways, which I hope he has now obtained - it did appear to have been a challenge for the NFP to obtain these.

So, what now? We all are waiting with great anticipation on what they have to report. It will be a great disappointment for us all if nothing eventuates and this whole saga is a big fizzer.

If that was the case, can we safely assume that we have some noticeably dramatic personalities in Fiji.

Levuka Market Ecelini Naivadra, Suva

The women market vendors of Ovalau have chosen a market site - the centrally located foreshore area opposite the central line of shops in Levuka town.

Their message is that the site of the old market is not suitable for them.

A more centrally located site within easier walking distance of the shops, banks and post office would be a better choice for the women market vendors of Ovalau.
