Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers remains slow moving over the group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji Group:

Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thundersto­rms over Vanua

Levu, Kadavu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Lomaiviti and Lau group and the eastern parts and interior of the Viti Levu. Rain easing to showers from tomorrow.

Cloudy periods with some showers and possible thundersto­rms elsewhere. Isolated heavy falls expected.

Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas. Moderate to fresh east to southeast winds, gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for tomorrow:

Cloudy periods with some showers and possible thundersto­rms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Lau and Lomaiviti group and the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands. Cloudy periods with isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible thundersto­rms elsewhere.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Occasional rain, heavy at times and possible thundersto­rms. Rain easing to showers from tomorrow.

Outlook tomorrow: Cloudy periods with some showers and possible thundersto­rms.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:

Cloudy periods with some showers and possible thundersto­rms.

Outlook for tomorrow: Cloudy periods with showers especially in the afternoon or evening.
