But whether it’s Suva or Nausori we need to get the desired result with four rounds to go. Jeff Tamata Chairman, Games Committee

Nadi will come out firing with all guns blazing when they play defending champion Ram Sami Suva in round 10 of the Skipper Cup Premiership at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori at 6pm on Friday.

Chairman of the games committee Jeff Tamata said they were looking forward to a rumble with the capital side at 3pm on Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.

But they fully understand the switch of the venue and time due to the three-day 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s, which kicks off tomorrow. Tamata said a win was crucial as they come to the business end of the competition.

“A showdown on Saturday with the champion is what we are looking forward to, but we fully understand the rationale behind it,” Tamata said.

“But whether it’s Suva or Nausori, we need to get the desired result with four rounds to go.

“When we played Suva in the first round, we were seventh on the standings. But now we are fifth and we are on track to make the top four. We would like to have a crack at both silverwares. We are scheduled to play Namosi for the Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy in round 13 on October 17.

“And this is all part of the buildup as we want to end the season on a high.”

Suva Rugby secretary Tevita Tuiloa has pleaded for fans to keep supporting team,

“Our Ram Sami Suva team will take on Jack’s Nadi at Ratu Cakobau Park on Friday. This is a good chance for those yet to see our team play, support our defending Skipper Cup champions,” Tuiloa said. Meanwhile, Tuiloa reminded clubs that a Special General Meeting and managers meeting will be held on Thursday at Albert Park Pavilion.
