Issued from the National Weather Forecastin­g Centre, Nadi at 3:30pm on Sunday the 27th of September 2020.

Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the north of Fiji. Associated cloud and showers is expected to drift south and affect the northern parts of the group from tomorrow. Meanwhile, another trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain is expected to approach the group from the west and affect the group from later on tomorrow. Currently, an easterly wind flow prevails over the group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji Group: Cloudy periods with brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Elsewhere, mainly fine. Moderate easterly winds, fresh and gusty at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for tomorrow: Cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern and interior parts of larger islands. Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and thundersto­rm. Rain developing from the west later in the afternoon.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori:

Cloudy periods with brief showers. Outlook for tomorrow: Cloudy periods with some showers. Showers expected to increase rain and become frequent and heavy from later in the afternoon.

For Sigatoka / Coral Coast:

Mainly fine.

Outlook for tomorrow: Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers. Showers expected to increase rain and become frequent and heavy from later in the afternoon.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba:

Mainly fine.

Outlook for tomorrow: Fine apart from afternoon or evening.
