Situation: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving just to the west of Fiji and associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the country from later today. Meanwhile, a moist east to northeast wind flow prevails over the country.

Occasional showers over the eastern and interior parts of the larger islands with isolated heavy falls. Rain and thunderstorms developing from later today. Elsewhere, cloudy periods with afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorm. Rain developing from the west later and spreading to the rest of the group.
Isolated heavy falls expected.
Localised heavy falls may lead flooding of low lying areas.
Moderate east to northeasterly fresh and gusty at times today.
Moderate to rough seas.
