SITUATION

A trough of low pressure previously over eastern parts of Fiji has drifted eastward away from the group. Another trough of low pressure to the west of the group is expected to drift eastwards and affect the country later today.

FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT FOR THE FIJI GROUP

Occasional showers over Lau group. Cloudy periods with some showers and isolated afternoon or evening thundersto­rms with possible heavy falls over Vanua Levu, Lomaiviti group and eastern part and interior of Viti Levu and Kadavu. Elsewhere, cloudy periods with afternoon or evening showers and possible isolated thundersto­rms. Isolated heavy falls especially in the afternoon or evening likely. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas. Moderate to fresh east to northeast winds. Expect gusty winds during heavy falls and thundersto­rms. Moderate to rough seas.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori : Cloudy periods with some showers. OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Occasional showers.
