ANZ Celebrates Fiji50 in Style
In line with Fiji’s 50th Independence anniversary, ANZ has chosen to commemorate it with a week long festitivities.
Saud Minam, ANZ Country Head Fiji & Head of Commercial, Pacific, said the bank was proud to be part of Fiji’s history for the past 140 years.
Mr Minam said: “As we celebrate Fiji’s 50th anniversary, staff are aware that social distancing is still maintained.
“This is why celebrations are decentralised to respective branches.”
Mr Minam highlighted:
■This is through staff looking back in time, history of ANZ, facts of ANZ back in the days
■Wa●ki■g down memory lane, childhood memories of Fiji day celebrations, celebrating our people and our banking legends who have grown with the bank over the years
■E■gagi■g staff with competitions such as designing contest (bula attire) trivia questions daily and art and crafts competition with amazing prizes.
■Themes are chosen by the different teams or business units however come Friday everyone will be in their blue Bula attire or team kalavata across ANZ Fiji
■Quizzes and various competition across bank with lots of prizes to give away.
Detailed Programme for the event:
■For the weeklong event, the main programme is on Friday countdown screen mounted outside our Level 1 balcony which gives the number of days, hours, minutes and
Day.
■The laser shows started from Tuesday, this will project memories of ANZ and facts about the bank on the ANZ building at night.
■Laser show will be from 6.30 to 8.00 pm every night.
■Bui●di■g a theme with the grand finale on Friday night.
■We will be connected via our internal video link to all our branches and Pacific operation to celebrate the 50th Independence Day ceremonies on Friday evening.
