Tourism Fiji and Savusavu Tourism Association Boost Campaign For Local Travellers, Conferences
Tourism Fiji is pleased to be working in partnership with the Savusavu Tourism Association (STA). This is to further promote resorts and tourism properties in the North to the local market.
The continual closure of borders means less tourism dollar going to properties and a heavy reliance on domestic tourism. Tourism Fiji will be promoting the association’s deals and specials on the Love Our Locals Fiji Facebook group, which has close to 11,000 members.
Daku Resort owner and STA chairman Delia Rothnie-Jones said: “We reached out to Tourism Fiji for their support to help us maximise promotion of our members here in Savusavu.”
Ms Rothnie-Jones said they wished to also promote their meetings and incentives products.
“We are glad to be working with Tourism Fiji to bring this to fruition.”
The joint campaign promotes both the Savusavu region and the Love our Locals Facebook group through a series of press and social media advertisements.
Tourism Fiji Director of Marketing, Emma Campbell said: “We’re happy to be working with Ms Rothnie-Jones, and to provide the association and the region with some additional marketing support.
“We recognise the need to rally behind our stakeholders and at the same time.” Ms Campbell also encourage other regional associations to reach out to them to work on joint campaigns.
“We thank Ms Rothnie-Jones and the team for being so proactive”
She added it’s the perfect time for Fijians to explore Fiji knowing that every dollar they spend helps in some small way to keep people employed the economy going.
