Your views Rabuka’s election popularity

‘A good newspaper is a nation talking to itself’

I believe Sitiveni Rabuka will never even get close to one-fifth of the 77,000 votes he received in the 2018 general elections come 2022. SODELPA Party leader, Viliame Gavoka, is absolutely correct in stating that SODELPA is a strong brand and that Mr Rabuka will never be a threat.

SODELPA campaigned the same way in which FijiFirst did for Honourable Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and it didn’t work for SODELPA as it did for Bainimarama. Mr Rabuka is nowhere near, nor as popular as Mr Bainimarama, and he will only get to realise this after the 2022 General Election. It’ll be the end of his political career. No political party that has majority iTaukei or Indo-Fijian will make it through. The nation is smarter and knows what is best for our future, and Mr Rabuka is not a part of it.

The perpetrator of the 1987 coup best remove himself before reality hits him.

The horse that brought him success in 2018 is now being ridden by its rightful owner. All the best Mr Gavoka and SODELPA.

Licenced builders

Sukha Singh, Labasa

I think we should have licenced carpenters and building contractors just like licenced electricians and licenced electrical contractors.

Road accidents

Sharif Shah, Savusavu

I can understand all the road accidents that occur due to overspeeding. But what about those that occur because of unsafe roads? Who is to blame for this one?

Our former chief executive officer of Fiji Roads Authority promised us New Zealand road standards. I wonder if the present CEO will fly the same flag.
