Captain Cook Cruises Fiji Expands Local Packages to Lau, North
THE MV REEF ENDEAVOUR WILL BE OPERATING SOME 7 NIGHTS CRUISES TO THE LAU AND FIJI’S REMOTE NORTH OVER THE MONTHS OF FEBRUARY, MARCH AND APRIL. THERE WILL ALSO BE A HERITAGE CRUISE.
The success of the Captain Cook Cruises Fiji MV Reef Endeavour, three/four nights Yasawa Islands Cruises in December has led them to reintroduce more cruise packages.
Jackie Charlton, manager for Captain Cook Cruises says: “We had such a great response to our cruises over Christmas with requests for a cruise, tailored to Fijians, visiting our more remote destinations.
“We saw it as a great opportunity to keep our crew employed at this difficult time and offer some really incredible, bucket list experiences to locals.”
Crusing aboard MV Reef Endeavour
Customers will be cruising aboard MV Reef Endeavour, a 130 passenger small ship complete with freshwater pool, dive shop and glass bottom boat. Ms Charlton said: “The MV Reef Endeavour will be operating some 7 nights cruises to the Lau and Fiji’s remote north over the months of February, March and April.
“The Lau Cruise will most likely include, Wailagilala, Qilaqila, Oneata, Fulaga Island, Vuaqava, Kabara Island, Totoya Island.
“The itinerary and dates of departure for the Lau trip will be announced soon.
“We have already scheduled the January 16 for three nights to the Yasawa.” Ms Charlton added they would also introduce a Heritage cruise later this year which begins its journey via MV Reef Endeavour from Suva, Vatu-I-Ra, Levuka, Makogai, Taveuni and Savusavu.
3 and 4 nights Cruise
The company currently has the 3 and 4 night Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands cruises on offer.
These cruises were the ones popular during the festive season.
These showcase westerly Fiji Island groups and cruise through some spec
tacular passages from Malolo Lailai to the Yasawa’s northern reaches.
The cruises visit the islands of Waya, Naviti, Sacred Islands, the private island of Tivua, the Sawa-l-Lau limestone caves and lagoon and Monuriki – the island where Tom Hanks’ movie Cast Away was filmed.
What’s on offer:
All cruises offer on and underwater world experiences with daily swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkelling and glass bottom boating over amazing coral reefs.
The ship is equipped with a hydraulic platform ensuring boarding and disembarking the glass bottom boat is easy.
