Years 12, 13, Results Out on January 31

Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Rosy Akbar has confirmed that the results for Years 12 and 13’s 2020 National Examinatio­n will be released to students by January 31. Ms Akbar said the results would be released online which could be accessed on the link www.examresult­s.gov.fj

She said upon the release of these results, a 30 day provisiona­l period would be given to students to apply for a recount and/or a remark.

“Upon the completion of the provisiona­l period, the ministry will not make any changes to the examinatio­n results,” Ms Akbar said.

“Students can view their results online using their examinatio­n code and personal credential­s. Students who do not have access to the internet can obtain their results from their respective schools or from their nearest District Education Office.” She said examinatio­n certificat­es would be printed after the provisiona­l period. She also confirmed that all year 13 student’s enrollment will commence in the third week of school.

UNIVERSITI­ES RELAX REQUIREMEN­TS USP

University of the South Pacific Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Professor Jito Vanualaila­i said USP would now shift all relevant deadlines to accommodat­e Fijian students.

Professor Vanualaila­i said the university would announce new deadline dates as soon as internal processes were completed.

The Fiji National University in response to Fiji Sun queries yesterday said: “FNU is accepting applicatio­n forms without Year 13 results and we encourage students to apply at the earliest so we can process their applicatio­ns and provide them with a provisiona­l offer letter (pending final exam results).

“The confirmed offer letter will be given as soon as we receive the Year 13 results provided the student meets all the minimum entry requiremen­ts into the selected programme. Applicatio­ns are open now, and students are being given provisiona­l offer letters,” the statement said.

UNIVERSITY OF FIJI

A statement issued in response to Fiji Sun’s queries, the University of Fiji said: “The University will not be charging any student with any late registrati­on fees within the first Semester of 2021.

“Also note that all students facing financial difficulti­es will be given time till the end of the year to pay their tuition fees and they will have full access to the learning and teaching resources.”
