Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 3:18pm on Saturday the 16th of January 2021 Situation : A trough of low pressure remains slow moving to the southwest of the group and is expected to drift eastwards and lie just to the south of the country. Associated cloud and showers affect the southern parts of the country. Meanwhile, a moist northerly wind flow prevails over Fiji.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group: Cloudy periods with some showers about Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, the northeastern parts and the interior of the larger islands. Isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms likely.
