Tanoa Hotel Group Fiji Area General Manager, Narend Kumar said it was a must that the hotel group continued to give back to the communities and its people.
The Tanoa Hotel Group Fiji is continuing their mission to assist communities despite the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
On Saturday, a team from the hotel group helped in the renovation and upgrade of one of the Lautoka Diabetic Hub building.
It was the idea of the group’s General Manager, Daniel Roy that the staff from the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi paint the building with the assistance from staff from the Tanoa Waterfront Hotel in Lautoka.
Because of the effects of COVID-19, the Western Division diabetic hub needed to be relocated and the new assigned building needed ramps and railings to cater for the wheelchair cases, installation of fans and painting.
Tanoa Hotel Group Fiji Area general manager, Narend Kumar said it was a must that the hotel group continued to give back to the communities and its people.
“While we have been supporting the Ministry of Health in accommo
dating repatriation flight guests in a clean and hygienic environment, assisting the Western Medical Team
on their request further strengthens one of our values, social responsibility whereby we continue to be
responsible, sensitive and aware of the communities and the environment in which we operate and do business in,” said Mr Kumar.
“Diabetes is very common, and Fiji is rated number one in the world.
“We are delighted to be able to assist the Ministry of Health in providing a clean and comfortable environment for the patients as we never know one of our own would be using these facilities.”
The project which is led by the Tanoa Hotel Group engineer, Shamal Chand is due to be completed by mid-February.
