Siba Concert in Savusavu

If you are in Savusavu or planning to spend this weekend there, checkout the Siba concert. The Siba concert is an initiative between close friends Anisa Lumon, Director of Rags & Tags and Savuto vakadewavosa, aka Savuto, an independent recording artist.

They thought that this is the best way to liven the spirits of the people of the friendly North after recent unfortunate events.

Many of our Fijian Musicians are from or have direct links to Vanua Levu so it was only right to have an event as such in the North, the organisers said.

The show promises to be one the best yet to be staged in the North with the likes of Aggie Vakaloloma, Tua and Savuto performing this Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Planters Club.

Savusavu is the first location in the north and the organisers hope to tour the show to other parts of the North.

Rags & Tags, who is presenting this show, is an online fashion boutique that offers fashion brands, beauty brands

and hair products.

What better way to shop that from the comfort of your homes?

The show organisers have incorporated a relief aspect to the show for a family at the Wainunu Estate in Cogea that was affected by Cyclone Yasa.

With respect to the wonderful relief efforts that are happening across the country at a national level the organisers believe that starting with a family goes a long way.

What they are trying to focus on is Care side ministry where they could assist in the rebuilding of homes.

Their hope is that those attending the concert would be empowered through music despite the circumstances, reminding us as history has taught us that we Fijians are resilient people together.

“Music is a universal language and most importantly music heals,’ the organisers said.
