A DAMAGING HEAVY SWELL WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE COASTAL
AREA OF SOUTHWEST VITILEVU [COASTAL AREAS FROM NATADOLA TO CORAL COAST TO PACIFIC HARBOUR], SOUTHERN COASTAL AREAS OF BEQA, KADAVU AND VATULELE.
SITUATION: A high pressure system to the far southwest of Fiji is generating and directing heavy swells over the southwestern parts of the country. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the group.
FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT TONIGHT FOR THE FIJI GROUP:
For coastal areas of Southwest Viti Levu, Southern coastal areas of Beqa, Kadavu and Vatulele:
Expect sea flooding of coastal areas especially during high tides.
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over northern and western parts and interior of the larger islands, Yasawa and Mananuca group. Cloudy with some showers and thunderstorms with heavy falls expected especially in the afternoon or evening elsewhere.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Moderate north to northwest winds. Moderate seas.
OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places.
For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Cloudy with some showers and thunderstorms with heavy falls expected especially in the afternoon or evening.

Sigatoka/Coral Coast:
Expect sea flooding of coastal areas especially during the high tides. Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms.
