Staff Members Rewarded for Service and Dedication
PMeghji Group of Companies always value their staff who have been with them for more than 20 years. Company director Romit Meghji said the longest serving staff was Ajit Kumar.
“Mr Kumar has been with the company for 34 years. He started as a warehouse employee and is now the warehouse supervisor,” Mr Meghji said.
Another employee sales manager West, Samuel Raju has been with them for more than 30 years.
P Meghji’s national sales manager Mahendra Kumar has served the company for 26 years. Mr Kumar had started as an invoicing clerk.
“One special employee started with us when he was only 15-years-old.
“He is Nalesh Sharma and has been with us for 26 years. He is one of trusted employees that looks after our wines and spirits in our warehouse,” he said.
Mr Meghji also said warehouse manager, Umesh Chand had been with the company for 12 years.
“He started working with the company as a delivery driver,” he said.
He said the finance team has grown over the years and the average service number of years of service of the staff is 12 years.
“Julie Chand, who manages our Credit Department started off as a clerk and has been with us for 24 years.”
Company awards
P Meghji’s last awards ceremony was conducted on 2019. “All the Employees from all our companies had congregated on Lautoka for the awards night.
“We had the directors’ awards, which was awarded to the best employee in each of our departments and business units.
“We also had awards for the long service employees and the final award was the best employee award for each of our companies,” Mr Meghji said.
